Currently we seem to be using technology more than ever before! As seen through the evolution of the mobile. Mobile phones have developed rapidly over time, especially since it was 1st established on the market in 1983. We all remember the phrase “Brick phones”; well it seems like the common Motorola DynaTAC and the Nokia 9000 Communicator, have simply been extinct. Due to a wide range of mobile company’s such as Nokia and now 3G, which was established in 2001, have use their expertise to continuously develop more sophisticated and dynamically functioning mobile phones. Rapid changes, which seem to never end, have also seen mobiles change shape, size, colour and motion. In addition to this, the new generation has seen great strides in such developments, which have produce mobiles with applications and computer components. At first we would be using the simple mobile applications, such as SMS and caller recognition. However now users can use their mobile to access the internet, use office files, play games and watch and listen to music and videos; anywhere in the world. The latest mobile technology has provided the world with the “I- Phone” (inset), which provides thousands of applications, including navigational systems, twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Shopping organisers etc.
Technology in general have vastly developed, and as expected they have now become ubiquitous; which includes the mobile phone. Mobiles have introduced a new niche in the technology market, and thus we find that people a far from happy with what mobile they have in their pocket. As a result we find that more and more people buy new phones quite often, which can possibly suggests people want to keep up with the trend or simply to keep up with technology.
